Why a Retreat?
My first step into the brand photography world was actually photographing yoga retreats. I had so much fun capturing the brand of my client and showing the impact that their retreat made on their clients. But they weren't the only ones impacted by the retreat. I was too.
Even though I was photographing and participating at the same time, I would leave the retreat feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and on top of the world. I would also leave thinking, "I need to create a retreat one day". I just had no idea what that would look like until this past January when I had an "aha" moment.
And here we are! I am so excited to create an event that is going to impact so many other women entrepreneurs within their brands.

In case we haven't met before, hi, I'm Kaitlyn! 👋
I'm the owner of Kaitlyn Casso Creations where I help women entrepreneurs find clarity and confidence in themselves and their brands through brand photography and strategy so they can attract their soul clients and build their dream brands.
How did I get into all of this?
I actually started off doing the thing many people find themselves doing.... going to college and joining the corporate world. I graduated from Sacred Heart University with my B.S. in Marketing and worked in the corporate marketing world for over 7 years before taking my brand photography business full time.
Marketing is actually what got me into photography (since I constantly had to outsource all of our photography needs for our marketing) which led me to building a photography side business. However, it wasn't until I found out that brand photography existed (it wasn't very well known then) that I decided to take that side hustle and make it my main hustle. I felt like brand photography was created for me (and still do) because it was the merging of everything I love.... branding and marketing AND photography. I didn't have to choose one or the other anymore!
So there I was, 5 years ago from right now building my brand photography business and going all in on it. Once I started working with more and more brand photography clients I realized that I was giving a lot more advice on branding and marketing then I thought I would. I didn't realize how not every small business owner necessarily has the branding and marketing experience that I have. And that's when I decided to add Brand Strategy to the mix where I help my clients build their brands so they can effectively market their businesses (instead of feeling like they're always throwing spaghetti at the wall).

Liz Uccello
Liz is a multi-passionate, serial entrepreneur who is a wedding and branding photographer by trade, hosts the Not Watered Down podcast and is the founder and owner of Women in Business CT. Liz loves to coach other women to elevate their branding, marketing and sales processes with connection over transaction. As an avid adventure-lover and loyal friend who runs on margaritas, she enjoys meeting new people and making connections that go beyond convention!
Liz will be sharing more about how client experience impacts your branding and marketing as well.

Jen Tirillo
Jenn is a functional movement specialist that brings her background in sports medicine, injury prevention and of course yoga to mindful movement experiences. Her passion is creating opportunities for individuals with all levels of yoga experience by sprinkling in humor, options for accessibility, and space to just be. Jenn can be found working with private clients as well as small groups/teams at Concentric Care & Wellness in Newington, CT.
Jen will be hosting morning yoga for us on Friday and Saturday morning.
Our Creative Space
This luxury historical home is centrally located in North Haven, CT with plenty of space for elevation, creativity, and connection.
Imagine yourself waking up in your lush bed, drinking your morning coffee in the screened-in porch, moving through morning yoga, absorbing new creative ideas for your business and brand followed by a delicious lunch crafted by our very own private chef. I don't know about you but that sounds like a dream to me!
Our creative space offers 6 separate beds with options of getting cozy with a friend for a discount price and 3 bathrooms.

Can't stay for the whole weekend? Or maybe sleeping in your own bed is more your jam? Come and go through our commuter option! Everything listed under each day will be included depending on which days you commute in (workshops, food, yoga, outing, etc).
